Colorful Again

Trust, so easily broken,
suddenly awoken,
left sadly unspoken.
A text, how flagrantly awful,
I could write a novel,
bout what you put me through.
Silence, the fatal mindfuck,
cleaning out my truck,
waiting to conduct a seance.
But hey,
now we're back together,
many more storms to weather,
but I think I got it right.
And now the world is shining,
the lights are blinding,
everything's in technicolor,
just like our first summer,
sun-bleached at sunset,
I'll never forget,
and I know that we will be colorful again.
Doors, so easily opened,
still got a lot of growing,
to do before we settle down.
Words, so easily written,
almost never forgiven,
but this time we'll break the mold.
Love, given almost never,
but I mean every letter,
that I write in that word.
But hey,
now we're back together,
many more storms to weather,
but I think I got it right.
And now the world is shining,
the lights are blinding,
everything's in technicolor,
just like our first summer,
sun bleached at sunset,
I'll never forget,
and I know that we will be colorful again.
And I know we're at impasse,
break or bond, we'll end up first class.
Fight or flight, we'll be together,
you have got the mortal tether,
to my fractured heart,
and its your job to restart,
it.
